The 193-EC2BD relay is an overload relay component that has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. This component is part of the Bulletin 193-EC relay product line and it allows for communication through the popular DeviceNet communication network. The unit supports DeviceLogix programming which allows the users to additionaly configure the device according to the needs of an application. The 193-EC2BD unit has an E3 Plus configuration and it includes an internal ground fault sensor. The 193-EC product series allows for the usage of a DeviceNet configuration terminal that provides parameter monitoring and editing, advanced diagnostics, and other functionalities that can be helpful. The system with electronic overload relays like 193-EC2BD relay installed in it has better protection and it is more efficient than other systems.

The 193-EC2BD overload relay has features like integrated I/O, LED indicators for status updates, underload/undercurrent protection, stall protection, phase loss protection, ground fault protection, remote tripping, current imbalance protection, over-temperature protection, and thermal overload protection. This particular model has 4 inputs and 2 outputs along with an adjustable current rating of 3 to 15 Amps. The unit has a rated frequency of 20 to 250 Hertz and a rated insulation voltage of 690 Volts AC. The operating temperature range of the 193-EC2BD relay model is -20 to 55 degrees Celsius (-4 to 131 degrees Fahrenheit). The unit should be stored within the temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit). In regard to physical characteristics of the relay, it has a weight of 0.8 kilograms (1.7 pounds) and it is built to withstand 30 G of shock along with 3 G of vibration. Every relay variant from the series has a 1P1X degree of protection.
