The 193-EC4ZZ E3 Plus electronic overload relay is an overload relay device from the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 193-EC4 current monitor relay family that is designed to monitor and provide thermal overload protection to connected 3-phase motors. The 193-EC4ZZ relay is suitable for both single-phase and three-phase applications, and it comes with 4 integrated sinking inputs and 2 integrated Form A relay outputs for enhanced I/O choices. The 193-EC4ZZ relay provides robust thermal overload protection by accurately monitoring the current on individual phases (True RMS Sensing) of the connected motor and programming the actual FLA (Full Load Amps) ratings and the desired trip classes of the motor. It has a thermal memory circuit that retains the thermal profile of connected motors, and it also has a thermal warning capability that alerts operators to impending trip conditions.

The 193-EC4ZZ relay also offers jam detection, stall protection, under-load protection, current imbalance protection, and ground fault protection as standard protective features. It has DeviceNet communication capability, which supports the “Slave Only” transfer protocol for uploading, editing, storing, and downloading DeviceLogix programs. The 193-EC4ZZ relay offers seamless integration into the Allen-Bradley DeviceLogix control system for control flexibility and enhanced diagnostics. The 193-EC4ZZ relay has a UL rated operating voltage of 600 Volts AC and an adjustable trip current range of 9 to 5,000 Amps. This device has a UL-rated insulation voltage of 600 Volts AC and an impulse withstand rating of 6 kiloVolts AC. The 193-EC4ZZ relay comes with an external ground fault sensor input and a PTC thermistor input, which provides motor over-temperature protection.
