The Allen-Bradley 193-EC5GF electronic voltage monitor relay is a directly mounted voltage monitor relay that is designed to monitor and protect connected 3-phase motors from voltage-related problems in critical industrial applications. The 193-EC5GF relay is suitable for both single-phase and 3-phase applications, and this option is readily available via a programming parameter. It supports the “Slave Only” DeviceNet connection, and it offers enhanced control with the DeviceLogix control capabilities. By using the RSNetWorx for DeviceNet (Version 3.0 or later), the users can configure, program, enable, monitor, edit, or delete DeviceLogix programs and they can also download them directly to the relay device. The operators can also monitor the diagnostic functions (trip status, device status, and warning status) over the DeviceNet network, thus making troubleshooting easy.
The 193-EC5GF relay offers other protective features like thermal overload protection, stall protection, jam detection voltage protection, power protection, energy consumption protection, and 2-speed motor protection. The 193-EC5GF relay has 6 current-sinking (24 Volts DC rated) inputs that allow for the connection of external devices such as pilot devices, contactors, and auxiliary contacts, limit switches, and float switches. It also has 2 relay outputs and an external ground fault sensor input that incorporates zero-sequence sensing for high-level ground fault detection and protection. It has an operating voltage rating of 600 Volts AC and a maximum insulation rating of 690 Volts AC (UL). The 193-EC5GF relay comes with a standard screw-type terminal, and it supports direct mounting.
