The Allen-Bradley 193-EF1BKD MCS Plus solid-state overload relay manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation as part of the 193-EF overload relay series. This overload relay is a basic relay type, and it operates on a control voltage of 110 Volts AC at 50 to 60 Hertz and a full load current range of 160 to 400 Amps. When using the Bulletin 193-EF overload relays such as the 193-EF1BKD relay, and a supply voltage failure occurs, the output relay resets, and the standby indicator turns off. It stores the actual status for about 30 minutes. If the supply voltage is restored, the output relay resumes its original state. These overload relays can also be reset manually by using a reset button that protects all the functions. Additionally, the resetting can be done from any location using the 193-RB1 remote reset module.
Other features of the Allen-Bradley 193-EF1BKD MCS Plus solid-state overload relay include the test button for thermal overload protection. When the user presses the test button, it verifies the thermal tripping operation time at 6x/e without having to connect the motor. It allows for the resetting of all the other protection functions by manual means. The 193-EF1BKD relay is mounted by screw fixing, and the mounting position is optional. For correct device commissioning and installation, the overload relay comes with operating instructions enclosed with it. Other devices in the Bulletin 193-EF series such as the 193-EF1A and 193-EF2A relays require 193 HD when setting the rated current at 0.5 to 20 Amps. The motor supply cables are wound twice around the current transformer to double the rated motor current.
