The 193-EF1BKF relay is an MCS Plus solid-state overload relay manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation as part of the Bulletin 193-EF solid-state overload relay product line. This basic overload relay operates on a control voltage of 230 Volts AC at a frequency of 50 to 60 Hertz and a full load current range of 160 to 400 Amps. When using the 193-EF1BKF overload relay or any other 193-EF solid-state overload relay, the power supply voltage sometimes fails, the output relay resets, and the standby display goes off. The real status is stored for approximately 30 minutes, and if the supply voltage is restored, the output relay reverts to the normal state. These overload relays also allow for manual resetting through the reset button, which protects all the functions. The resetting is possible from any location through the 193-RB1 remote reset module.
The Allen-Bradley 193-EF1BKF MCS Plus solid-state overload relay has a variety of features, including the test button that is used for thermal overload protection. Upon pressing the test button, the thermal tripping operation time is verified without connecting to the motor. It also allows for the resetting of all the protection functions manually. The 193-EF1BKF overload relay supports mounting by screw fixing, and it has optional mounting positions. During the installation and commissioning of the overload relay, it comes with an operating manual and instructions enclosed. The motor supply cables are wound twice around the current transformer to double the rated motor current. Other Bulletin 193-EF devices, including the 193-EF1A and 193-EF2A relays, would need the 193 HD device for setting the rated current at 0.5 to 20 Amps.
