The 193-EF2AKA relay is a solid-state overload relay manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation as part of the Bulletin 193-EF solid-state overload relay product line. This advanced overload relay operates on a full adjustment current range of 20 to 180 Amps and control voltage rating of 240 Volts AC at 50 to 60 Hertz. The full load current range of 20 to 180 Amps or 0.5 to 20 Amps can be achieved through looping the motor supply cables. The 193-EF2AKA overload relay supports mounting by snap-on fixing to the standard DIN Rail or by screw fixing. This overload relay and the 193-EF1A device require the 193-HD when setting the rated current between 0.5 and 20 Amps. The motor supply cables of this unit are wound through the current transformer twice to help double the rated current.
The Allen-Bradley 193-EF2AKA solid-state overload relay and other devices in the Bulletin 193 EF solid-state overload relays allows for manual resetting through a reset button that resets all the protection functions. The 193-RB1 remote reset module can be used to reset this overload relay from any location. It also supports automatic resetting with an optional feature that resets the thermal overload as well as the thermistor over-temperature functions. All the remaining protection functions can only be reset by manual means. The 193-EF2AKA overload relay also comes with a test button for thermal overload protection that helps to verify the thermal tripping operation time without having to connect the motor. Press and hold the test button for a long time to set the trip time.
