The 193-EF2BZJ relay is an MCS Plus solid-state overload relay manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation as part of the Bulletin 193-EF solid-state overload relay. This advanced version overload relay has a current adjustment range of 160 to 400 Amps and it supports contactor mounting. It operates on a control voltage of 24 Volts DC and it comes without factory modifications like automatic resetting, an external indicator, and remote reset options. The 193-EF2BZJ solid-state overload relay supports surface mounting by screw fixing and it has a test button for the protection of the thermal overload. When the users press the test button, it verifies the thermal operation time without connecting the motor. The test button should be held longer than the trip set time. This unit also comes with both automatic and manual reset options.
Allen Bradley 193-EF2BZJ solid-state overload relay comes with automatic resetting for the thermistor over-temperature and thermal overload functionalities as optional features. All the protection functions require manual resetting. The manual reset button sets all the protective functions back to their defaults. What is unique about the device is that the users can reset it remotely from anywhere by using the 193-RB1 remote reset module. Other features include a supply voltage failure reset function. In case of a supply voltage failure, the output relay of the device resets, and then the standby indicator turns off. The output relay will revert to its original state when the supply voltage resumes, but its actual status is stored for approximately 30 minutes. The 193-EF2BZJ solid-state overload relay has motor supply cables wound twice through the current transformer, thus helping to double the current motor rating.
