MDF-SB1003P-QK82B-S

The Allen-Bradley MDF-SB1003P-QK82B-S Integrated Drive Motor has a food-grade enclosure. It operates on 400 Volts AC, with a multi-turn absolute encoder, 5000 RPM motor speed, a smooth shaft, a rotatable htec connector, an IEC metric flange, and a safe-off feature, but no brakes. During the installation of the MDF-SB1003P-QK82B-S, the IDM unit requires proper alignment on the machine. The process comprises effective cable shield grounding and connecting the cables and the mounted IDM unit. In general, the Kinetix 6000M integrated drive motor (IDM) systems are made up of up to 16 IDM units, along with an IDM power interface module (IPIM). The IDM units are directly attached to the machine while the IPIM module is fixed on the Bulletin 2094 power rail. The IDM units, as well as the IPIM modules, are well-matched with the 400 Volts class Kinetix 6000 or Kinetix 6200 multi-axis drive schemes.

There is a communication network controlling every IDM unit, including the MDF-SB1003P-QK82B-S, and the network also connects the unit to the IPIM module. This IPIM module is responsible for passing network data to the IDM units through a daisy-connected network cable. In addition, the network terminator plug connects to the last IDM unit and returns the network signal to the IPIM module. These hybrid cables provide both power and inter-module communication to the IDM units. These cables daisy-chain connect from one IDM unit to another, and the hybrid terminator is essential for the last IDM unit. A shaft seal is an industrial unit installed on the MDF-SB1003P-QK82B-S IDM unit, and it is essential if any of these environmental conditions are present: if the IDM unit is exposed to fine dust or fluids, or if the IDM is attached to an oil-lubricated ploy or the unit has either the IP65 or IP66 rating. This shaft seal can be replaced during or before its estimated lifetime which is about 12 months in length.
