The MPL-A330P-MJ24AA servo motor is a premium permanent magnet rotary servo motor that is powered by technology based on special rare-earth magnets that is manufactured and distributed by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. This servo motor has low inertia and a multi-turn high-resolution encoder module that provides feedback. It also comes with an IEC metric flange for mounting, a 24 Volts DC rated holding brake for slowing down, and a circular bayonet type of connector that faces the shaft key, but it does not have a shaft seal. The MPL-A330P-MJ24AA servo motor is contained by a 100-millimeter frame and the rare-earth magnets that power it are arranged in a 3-inch magnetic stack. It can operate at a rotating speed of as much as 5000 rpm, and the 24 Volts DC holding brake can be used to slow it down for certain applications, but this brake should never be used to bring the servo motor to a complete stop because doing so can damage both the drive and the holding brake. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation MPL-A330P-MJ24AA servo motor is not waterproof. Install it in a clean and dry environment and arrange all of its cables with drip loops that will divert liquids away from the servo motor and its sensitive components. The manufacturer recommends shielding and grounding the servo motor’s cables. Shielding the MPL-A330P-MJ24AA servo motor’s cables will protect the cables and the servo motor from electrical noise and grounding the cables and their shields will minimize the risk of high voltage on the shields of the power cables.
