The Allen-Bradley MPL-A330P-MJ72AA is a Servo Motor from the MP series of Low inertia servo motors. This servo motors comes with an updated design, engineered to deliver higher output Torque and faster acceleration due to the rare-earth magnets that comprise the servo motor’s rotor.

The MPL-A330P-MJ72AA is a 200V class servo motor with Frame size 3, magnet stack that measure 76.2 mm (3.0 in.) in length and capable of rated speed of 5000 Revolutions per minute (RPM). This servo motor utilizes the Circular (SpeedTec) DIN connector in right angle orientation that can be rotated in 180°.

The MPL-A330P-MJ72AA has an output power of 1.8 kW, Rotor inertia of 0.00012 kg-m2 or 0.0010 lb-in. It has Continuous Stall Torque of 4.18 Nm (3.7 lb-in.); Peak Stall Torque of 11.1 Nm (98 lb-in.) Continuous Stall Current of 12.0 A and Peak Stall Current of 38.0 A. This servo motor uses a high-resolution multi-turn encoder for position feedback and comes with a magnet stack length of 76.2 mm (3.0 in.). This motor does not come with a 24VDC brake as well as a shaft seal. Shaft seal is an important accessory that increases the protection rating of the motor, up to IP66. Without the shaft seal, the MPL-A330P-MJ72AA IP protection is IP50 when mounted upwards; IP53 when mounted downwards and IP51 when mounted horizontally.

The MPL-A330P-MJ72AA can be coupled to a wide variety of servo drives such as Kinetix 5500, Kinetix 5700, Kinetix 6200/6500,Kinetix 6000, Kinetix 300/350, Kinetix 2000, and Kinetix 7000.

This servo motor comes with a shaft key, but it does not have a shaft seal or a brake. It can be mounted with a flange that is an IEC metric mounting flange. The options that it comes with are all standard factory designated operations that are suitable for most standard industrial applications. The MPL-A330P-MJ72AA servo motor can operate at up to 5000 rpm and it runs on 200 Volts AC voltage. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation MPL-A330P-MJ72AA premium permanent magnet rotary servo motor must be protected from liquids and electrical noise. Liquids of any kind will damage the servo motor and its connections and electrical noise will interfere with its own electrical signals and weaken its performance. Users can protect the MPL-A330P-MJ72AA servo motor from liquids by installing it in a clean and dry environment and by installing all of the servo motor’s vertical cables with drip loops that will lead moisture and condensation away from the servo motor and its connections. Interference from electrical noise can be eliminated by using the shortest possible cables, spacing the cables at least 1 foot apart, grounding the cables, and by grounding both ends of the shield for the encoder cable.
