The Allen-Bradley MPL-A330P-SJ24AA premium permanent magnet rotary servo motor is a servo motor that functions with low inertia, a voltage rating of 200 Volts AC, and a maximum rated rotation speed of 5000 rpm. It uses technology based on rare earth magnets that are arranged in a magnetic stack with a length of 3 inches. The MPL-A330P-SJ24AA servo motor comes with a shaft key but no shaft seal. For its connector features, it has a circular bayonet connected that faces the shaft, and it can be mounted via its IEC metric mounting flange. The Allen-Bradley MPL-A330P-SJ24AA servo motor has a 24 Volts DC rated holding brake that is meant to slow the servo motor down but not to stop it, especially when the servo motor is operating at full speed. Using the holding brake this way causes a mechanical backlash that can damage the brake and the servo motor.
Because the Allen-Bradley MPL-A330P-SJ24AA premium permanent magnet rotary servo motor is powered by technology that is sensitive to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and to liquids, the uses should take every precaution to protect the servo motor from it, otherwise, the servo motor will not operate properly or it may even be damaged and the users may be injured. One such precaution is to install the vertical cables with drip loops to lead all liquid that might condense on the cables away from the servo motor. Allen-Bradley also recommends that the users shield all of the cables, to route the different kinds of cables away from each other, and to keep all of the cables as short as possible.
