The MPL-A420P-SJ22AA servo motor is an MP series low-inertia servo motor manufactured by Allen-Bradley. Its power rating is 2000 Watts and its input voltage range is from 200 to 230 Volts AC. Its rated speed is 5000 revolutions per minute with 0.00026 kg-m2 of rotor inertia. The continuous stall current and peak stall current ratings of this motor are 12.7 Amps and 46 Amps, respectively, and its continuous stall torque and peak stall torque ratings are 4.74 N-m and 10.2 N-m, respectively. To ensure smooth performance and precise control, the MPL-A420P-SJ22AA servo motor is equipped with a single-turn high-resolution encoder and the improved winding insulation material that is built into this motor provides enhanced thermal management capabilities, resulting in higher performance.

The MPL-A420P-SJ22AA low-inertia servo motor incorporates rare-earth magnets to provide a quicker acceleration rate. The winding technology in its coils improves torque performance in a broad range of applications and it features a 115-millimeter frame as well as a 2-inch magnetic stack length. The circular bayonet connectors of the MPL-A420P-SJ22AA servo motor reduce installation time and offer higher shock resistance. Note that the MPL-A420P-SJ22AA low-inertia servo motor does not feature a DC brake. It comes with a shaft key and it can be used in applications where the shaft must be connected to the machine through a coupling or pulley system. This motor does not feature a shaft seal but it is compatible with an Allen-Bradley MPL-SSN-A4B4 shaft seal that protects the internal components of the motor from fine dust and liquids.
