The Allen-Bradley MPL-A4520P-MJ22AA servo motor is an industrial premium permanent magnet servo motor. It belongs to the MPL series and it has been designed with a compact size, but it is still able to deliver high levels of torque. The MPL series servo motors are highly dynamic brushless servo motors that are well suited to the demanding requirements of industrial motion control systems. The MPL-A4520P-MJ22AA servo motor is rated for 200 Volts AC input voltage. The frame size of the motor is 130 millimeters and its magnet stack length is 50.8 millimeters or 2 inches. The rated speed of the MPL-A4520P-MJ22AA servo motor is 5000 RPM. The motor comes with an integrated 1024 sin/cos absolute multi-turn encoder that supports the Hiperface protocol. The main motor shaft has a key but it does not include a shaft seal.

Allen-Bradley provides an optional shaft seal kit for MPL series servo motors. The IP 50 default protection rating of the MPL-A4520P-MJ22AA servo motor can be improved to IP 66 with the use of the shaft seal and sealed cable connectors. The power connector on the MPL-A4520P-MJ22AA servo motor is a bayonet connector. The motor does not come with a holding brake. A 24 Volts DC holding brake is another option for MPL servo motors that can be ordered separately if required. The MPL-A4520P-MJ22AA servo motor can be used for multiple applications including packaging, converting, automotive, and material handling applications. The motor is flange-mounted and it features an IEC metric flange with free mounting holes.
