The MPL-A4540F-SJ24AA servo motor is an Allen-Bradley high output brushless servo motor. Classified as an MPL series low-inertia servo motor, the MPL-A4540F-SJ24AA servo motor features a small frame size of 130 millimeters, and IT delivers a significantly higher torque level compared to other servo motors. Designed to meet the demanding requirements of high-performance motion systems, the MPL-A4540F-SJ24AA servo motor features a rated motor speed of up to 3000 revolutions per minute. The MPL-A4540F-SJ24AA servo motor has a magnetic stack length of 4 inches while the rated motor voltage is 200 Volts AC. The Allen-Bradley servo motor is built with the IEC flange mounting and with the standard factory designated control features. It comes with the single-turn high-resolution encoder and a shaft key with no shaft seal. It has a circular bayonet facing the shaft for making connections and it comes with the 24 Volts DC brake type.
The MPL-A4540F-SJ24AA servo motor’s brake option is a spring-set holding brake with the ability to release whenever voltage is applied to the brake coil. The brake uses a separate power source that disengages the brake when the power source is applied by the servo motor controller or through the manual operator controls. The Allen-Bradley servo motors all feature the pulleys and couplings that should all have the correct torsion. As a result of the high level of performance of the servo motors, these couplings and pulleys could become loose with prolonged motor use. Loose connections are an operating hazard and they affect the functionality of the servo motor and reduce the life of the components significantly. Make sure that the mechanical connections’ torsion is checked often and tightened if necessary.
