The MPL-B320P-MJ22AA is a Servo motor that is used to implement the desired controlled movement in motion control systems. This motor is a component product of the Kinetix MPL series of low inertia motors that utilizes high energy rare earth magnets for faster acceleration, high torque output with reference to compact size, utilizes SpeedTec DIN connectors for fast, tight and secure connection. Specifically, the MPL-B320P-MJ22AA is a 400 V class motor with 100 mm frame and magnet stack length of 50.8 mm or 2.0 inches. It offers speed up to 5000 rpm with built-in 1024 sin / cos multi-turn absolute encoder for positional feedback. It comes with a shaft key but without a shaft seal installed. Shaft seals are primarily used to prevent process liquids from entering the device. It basically isolates the core of the motor from being damaged by these process liquids. Shaft seals also increase the protection rating of the device. By default, the MPL-B320P-MJ22AA has an IP50 protection but with the use of an appropriate shaft seal and environmentally sealed connectors, up to IP65 / IP66 protection can be attained, allowing this device to be installed in application where liquid splash and liquid jets are existing. The MPL-B320P-MJ22AA is compatible to a variety of Servo drivers, especially, the Kinetix series by Allen-Bradley as well.
