The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation MPL-B320P-RJ22AA servo motor is a premium permanent magnet low-inertia servo motor. It is powered from a 400 Volts AC power source. The MPL-B320P-RJ22AA servo motor, like other low-inertia servo motors in the Allen-Bradley MPL series, is a high-output brushless motor that is carefully designed to enable it to have a considerably smaller frame than other drives while providing a high level of torque. As with other motors in the MPL family, the MPL-B320P-RJ22AA servo motor can be interfaced with motion systems that require a high level of performance. The MPL-B320P-RJ22AA servo motor has a 100 millimeters frame size and a rated speed of 5000 revolutions per minute. For feedback, the motor features a 2-pole resolver. Note that the resolver is used to measure the degree of rotation. With a 2-pole resolver, the angular information is the mechanical angle of the stator.
The resolver on the MPL-B320P-RJ22AA servo motor is capable of providing an absolute angle position. Since a resolver lacks optics and precision alignment, its vibration and shock capabilities are high. This makes the MPL-B320P-RJ22AA servo motor suitable for use in environments that are prone to high levels of radiation. The motor does not feature a brake. To facilitate the interfacing of the motor with a servo drive and power source, it contains circular bayonet connectors. The Allen-Bradley MPL-B320P-RJ22AA servo motor has a peak stall torque rating of 8.20 N-m and a continuous stall torque of 2.10 N-m. The motor has 0.86 kilowatts of rated output power. The servo motor’s continuous stall current stands at 2.60 Amps while its peak stall current stands at 11.3 Amps.
