The low-inertia MPL-B330P-MK72AA servo motor by Allen-Bradley is classified under the MPL series of servo motors. The premium permanent magnet rotary servo motor features a power voltage rating of 460 Volts AC and it comes with the frame size of 100 millimeters. The servo motor has a rated speed of 5000 revolutions per minute and it features multi-turn high-resolution encoder feedback. The MPL-B330P-MK72AA servo motor is designed without a shaft key and it lacks the shaft seal. In addition, the Allen-Bradley low-inertia servo motor comes with circular DIN right angle rotation but no brake. The enclosure type is classified as the IEC metric enclosure while the servo motor is a standard factory designated option. The Allen-Bradley MPL servo motors feature mechanical connections. These include the couplings and the pulleys. When using the mechanical connections, make sure to have torsionally rigid coupling. It is also important to ensure that there is a reinforced timing belt.
The MPL-B330P-MK72AA servo motor comes with a dynamic performance that is often the cause of loosened pulleys, couplings, or even belts. If these mechanical connections are faulty, they will lead to a damaged motor shaft. The users should check the rigidity of all the connections between the system and the servo motor shaft. This ensures a consistent and acceptable response from the servo motor. It is advisable for a periodic inspection to be carried out to verify the rigidity of these mechanical connections. The MPL-B330P-MK72AA servo motor occasionally experiences electromagnetic interference which might adversely affect the performance of the motor due to the induction of the stray signals. It is advisable to take effective measures to counter the EMI. These measures include filtering the AC power and shielding and separating the signal carrying lines.
