The MPL-B420F-M-X225 servo motor is a brushless replacement servo motor with a compact design and enhanced features that older servo motors do not have. This servo motor has been designed by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation in the MPL series and it can be used with different servo drives from the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation Kinetix series. Some of the enhancements that have been made to this servo motor include its winding design which enables it to release heat faster than regular servo motors can. This servo motor also uses “smart motor technology” that involves the use of memory cards to reduce commissioning time and speed up the start-up process. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation MPL-B420F-M-X225 brushless servo motor has a rated operating voltage of 400 Volts.

The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation MPL-B420F-M-X225 MPL series brushless replacement servo motor does not include any shaft protection devices such as a shaft key or shaft seal, but a shaft key and shaft seal can be added to the servo motor's shaft when they are needed by the application. A shaft key and a shaft seal give the servo motor an IP 66 enclosure protection rating and protect the motor shaft from liquids in applications that involve frequent contact with liquids. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation MPL-B420F-M-X225 brushless servo motor comes with a rotatable connector that can be adjusted easily to meet the needs of the space where the servo motor is going to be installed. This servo motor can operate without derating at a maximum ambient temperature of 40 degrees Celsius or 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
