The Allen-Bradley MPL-B420P-SK74AA servo motor is a low-inertia MPL series servo motor. The MPL series uses innovative design principles to deliver servo motors with higher torque than other servo motors despite reduced motor sizes. The innovative motor winding technology in the MPL series servo motors like the MPL-B420P-SK74AA servo motor yields up to 40% higher torque than conventional servo motors can yield. The improved winding insulation leads to enhanced thermal management and higher levels of performance. The rare-earth high-energy magnets used for MPL series motor construction provide quicker acceleration and the SpeedTec DIN connectors allow for flexible connector orientation and they enable the use of a single cable family across the entire MPL series. The MPL-B420P-SK74AA servo motor is rated for 400 Volts AC input voltage. The frame size of the motor is 115 millimeters. The length of the motor magnet stack is 2 inches.

The maximum rotor speed and the rated rotor speed of the Allen-Bradley MPL-B420P-SK74AA MPL series servo motor are both 5000 RPM. The servo motor comes with an integral holding brake rated for 24 Volts DC voltage. The absolute single-turn motor encoder in this motor supports Hiperface.
