The MPL-B430P-HJ72AA servo motor from Allen-Bradley is part of the Kinetix low inertia MP series servo motors. This servo motor is made of a brushless, asynchronous AC motor that uses rare earth magnets for faster acceleration. It is designed with high Torque and small size ratio, capable of providing a relatively High Torque given its compact and small size. The compact design of this servo motor allows this equipment to be installed in applications with tight installation space.

The MPL-B430P-HJ72AA is capable of controlling motion and position of a specific driven equipment or device. With the built-in 2000 lines/revolution, high-resolution incremental encoder as position feedback, the motor movement is accurately captured. Additionally, this built-in encoder may be used as aa component of the safe Torque-off feature.

With an external supply voltage of 460VAC, this servo motor is energized. It provides an output power of 1.8 kW and a continuous stall Torque rating of 14.18 N-m. It has a keyed shaft design however, shaft seal is not provided. The default environmental rating of this servo motor is IP55 however, if installed with shaft seal with catalog number MPL-SSN-A4B4, the environmental rating IP66 can be met. This motor is also provided with FF Type mounting holes.

This servo motor has an operating temperature range of 0 - 40º C or 32 - 104º F. Its mounting dimensions are compliant with IEC standard 72-1 and comes with enhanced thermal management due to the enhanced winding material. This improvement enables this motor to exhibit an improved overall performance.
