Engineered by Allen-Bradley, the MPL-B430P-SJ22AA servo motor is a premium permanent magnet rotary servo motor. This Allen-Bradley low-inertia motor features the single-turn high-resolution encoder module for feedback. It comes with the circular bayonet for making connections and the bayonet faces the shaft. The servo motor is a no-brake servo motor. The MPL-B430P-SJ22AA servo motor uses mechanical connections that feature couplings and pulleys. This ensures torsionally rigid couplings or a reinforced timing belt. At times, the high dynamic performance of the servo motor could cause the couplings, the pulleys, or the belts to loosen or even to disconnect over time. The loose or disconnected connection could result in system instability, damaging the motor shaft. The connections should be rigid at all times in order to achieve optimal performance.
In addition, when mounting the couplings or the pulleys to the MPL-B430P-SJ22AA servo motor shaft, make sure that all of the connections are aligned properly. The axial loads, as well as the radial loads, should also be within the specifications of the motor. Electromagnetic interference, also known as EMI or electrical noise might result in poor performance of the motor as a result of induced stray signals. Thus, it is necessary to use effective techniques to counter the EMI. These techniques include the filtering of the AC power, and shielding the separate signals that carry the power lines. Proper grounding techniques also help in preventing electrical noise. The servo motor also features a 115 millimeters frame size with a 3-inch magnetic stack length. The MPL-B430P-SJ22AA servo motor is a 460 Volts AC motor that features a rated speed of 5000 revolutions per minute.
