This Allen Bradley (AB) low inertia smart motor is a 5000 RPM rated brushless servo. Furthermore, this Allen-Bradley AC drive also is equipped with circular bayonet(facing shaft) servo cable connections which are pre-installed on this adaptible servo motor. This AC motor has a shaft key, but no shaft seal included on the shaft of this servo motor to allow for connecting to this motor. In addition, this compact brushless motor has a 24 VDC brake built into the motor if braking is needed. Additionally, it is a 165 millimeter frame and is equipped with a single-turn high-resolution (1024 sin/cos) encoder.

The Allen-Bradley MPL-B4520P-SJ24AA servo motor is widely used in several modern industries. It meets a variety of application requirements which need precise control of velocity, acceleration, and position. The main objective of the servo motor is to determine the position feedback of a device and to control the final motion and position of the device. The MPL-B4520P-SJ24AA servo motor takes in 400 Volts AC of input voltage and it runs with a rated speed of 5000 rpm. Servo motors are widely used in closed-loop control systems. The MPL-B4520P-SJ24AA servo motor takes input (in the form of an analog or digital signal) which is the commanded position for the output shaft. This low-inertia motor comes with a magnetic stack length of 2 inches. The servo motor body is made up of stainless steel. The servo motor offers a 24 Volts DC brake as a holding brake. The brake is equipped in the servo motor to hold the motor shaft at 0 rpm at up to the rated brake holding torque. This braking system is a spring type and it is released when the voltage is applied to the brake coil. Note that the rotation of the motor shaft cannot be stopped with the holding brake.
The MPL-B4520P-SJ24AA servo motor is manufactured to be used in normal industrial environments without any exposure to excessive moisture or abnormal temperatures. The servo motor can only be operated within a temperature range of 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The installation area of the servo motor should have a relatively humid environment with 5 to 95% non-condensing. The MPL-B4520P-SJ24AA servo is capable of carrying an axial load in most applications. An IEC metric flange is used as a mounting option in this servo motor variant. This Series A motor has a current rating of 8.5 Amps with the 180 H insulation class. The servo motor generates 3.3 Horsepower of output power with a normal load.
