The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation MPL-B4530K-MK74AA servo motor is a 400 Volts AC servo motor. It uses standard IEC 72-1 mounting dimensions. The MPL-B4530K-MK74AA servo motor operates with an ambient temperature not exceeding 40 degrees Celsius and not falling below 0 degrees Celsius. The servo motor has a rated speed of 4000 revolutions per minute. The MPL-B4530K-MK74AA servo motor contains a multi-turn high-resolution feedback encoder. However, since the holding brake is not meant for use as a stopping device, the motor can be stopped by commanding the servo motor to slow down to 0 revolutions per minute, verifying that the motor is at 0 revolutions per minute, engaging the holding brake, and disabling the drive. Note that disabling the servo motor removes the potential for brake wear that is caused by a badly-tuned servo system oscillating the shaft. The Allen-Bradley MPL-B4530K-MK74AA servo motor has circular DIN connectors that are placed at right angles to the motor’s frame and that are rotatable at up to 180 degrees.
