The Allen-Bradley MPL-B4540F-RJ24AA brushless servo motor is a high-performance AC servo motor from the MPL series of low inertia servo motors. This motor features a compact, yet dynamic motor design that can deliver significantly higher torque than conventional servo motors and it is designed for limited panel spaces and for high-powered industrial motion control applications. The MPL-B4540F-RJ24AA servo motor is designed to be compatible with the Allen-Bradley Kinetix 300/350, Kinetix 2000, Kinetix, 7000, Kinetix 6500, and Ultra3000 series high-performance digital AC servo drives. The MPL-B4540F-RJ24AA servo motor has a unique rotor design that delivers high levels of acceleration and performance because it is a high-energy rare-earth permanent magnet rotor and with an enhanced winding design that delivers a high torque-to-size ratio.

The Allen-Bradley MPL-B4540F-RJ24AA servo motor also has an improved thermal management and heat transfer system for increased performance and fewer downtimes than conventional servo motors. State-of-the-art Allen-Bradley “smart motor technology” is incorporated into this motor for improved motor control and reduced energy usage. The MPL-B4540F-RJ24AA servo motor has an onboard memory that retains the motor profiles. It also has a built-in communication link that automatically uploads the motor profiles to a larger control system on start-up for reduced commissioning time. The MPL-B4540F-RJ24AA servo motor is supplied with the standard factory options such as a circular bayonet DIN connector, a resolver feedback encoder that provides accurate position and velocity feedback, and a 24 Volts DC spring-set holding brake for holding loads at a stall.
