The Allen-Bradley MPL-B540K-SK72AA servo motor is a single-turn encoder servo motor that belongs to the MPL series of low-inertia servo motors rated between 200 and 400 Volts AC. The Allen-Bradley MPL-B540K-SK72AA single-turn encoder servo motor has an operating voltage of 400 Volts AC and it has one of the biggest frames available in the series with a measurement of 165 millimeters. This servo motor can reach a rated speed of 5000 rpm maximum only if all the conditions given for proper servo motor operation are met. This servo motor can detect and register its position within a single turn of its position detection encoder. This way, the servo motor will be able to detect and stay in the best operating position for the current application. It comes with a magnet stack with a length of 101.6 millimeters. The servo motor’s position detection mechanism is a 1024 sin/cos absolute feedback encoder.

The Allen-Bradley MPL-B540K-SK72AA single-turn encoder servo motor does not include a shaft key or a shaft seal but the option is always available from Allen-Bradley if needed. Shaft seals and shaft key kits contribute to the protection level of the servo motor. Both of these parts help to isolate the MPL-B540K-SK72AA servo motor from contact with liquids. Note that these accessories wear out with frequent use and that this is the main reason why it is recommended to perform periodic inspections of the shaft seal and shaft key and to the whole servo motor, including the connections and wirings that need to be replaced or tightened up. Motor vibrations from operation tend to loosen connections.
