The MPL-B580J-MJ22AA servo motor is a 460 Volts AC low-inertia type of premium permanent-magnet rotary servo motor manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It is a member of the MPL series of servo motors and its speed rating is 3800 revolutions per minute while its output power is rated at 7.9 kilowatts. This 3-phase motor has a continuous stall torque rating of 34 N-m and its continuous stall current is 32 Amps. It has 0.00289 of rotor inertia and it is equipped with a multi-turn high-resolution encoder that provides absolute position feedback within 4096 turns. The encoder does not require a battery. It is powered by the same drive that controls the motor. The Allen-Bradley MPL-B580J-MJ22AA servo motor is ideal for applications that require a small motor with high levels of power and torque performance. Its brushless design with high-energy rare-earth magnets provide faster acceleration and the design of its winding allows it to provide a higher torque performance than traditional servo motors do.
The MPL-B580J-MJ22AA servo motor has a frame size diameter of 165 millimeters and it features an IEC mounting flange as well as a mounting pilot for proper motor alignment to the machine when the users are mounting it. This servo motor requires external braking mechanisms, and it does not feature a motor-mounted brake. A pair of circular bayonet connectors facing the motor shaft are the connector options that are available on the MPL-B580J-MJ22AA servo motor. These connectors are stationary and they have a high resistance to shock and vibration for ensuring that the motor cables do not come loose during operation. This motor features a factory-installed shaft-key to secure the pulley mechanisms and couplings that are mechanically connected to the motor.
