The MPL-B660F-MJ24AA MPL series servo motor is an Allen-Bradley low-inertia, high torque servo motor. It has a brushless construction and high-energy permanent magnet technology that contributes to its high-performance output. Among the many key features of this Allen-Bradley brushless AC rotary servo motor are its extremely high torque to size ratio, its integrated “smart motor technology,” and its low inertia rotor. This low inertia servo motor comes in a small package with a compact 215-millimeter frame. The MPL-B660F-MJ24AA servo motor provides a continuous torque rating of 48 N-m and peak stall torque rating of 101.1 N-m along with a continuous stall current rating of 38.5 Amps and peak stall current rating of 96 Amps. The protection rating can be increased to IP 66 when the motor is equipped with a shaft seal kit, which is available as an optional motor accessory. The motor comes with reverse circular bayonet coupling connectors for the feedback, power, and brake cables. The reversible connector housing can be turned upside down for vertical applications or backward for horizontal applications if access to the connectors is restricted. A separate power supply is required to disengage the 24 Volts DC brake on the motor. The brake can serve as an emergency brake occasionally but it should not be used in this manner all of the time.
