The MPL-B660F-MJ74AA MPL series low inertia servo motor from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation features a brushless architecture and small footprint, but it can generate a high torque level. The permanent magnet technology that this servo motor uses generates up to 40 percent higher torque than conventional servo motors can handle. The MPL-B660F-MJ74AA low inertia brushless servo motor incorporates high-energy neodymium magnets in its rotor to achieve greater acceleration. The rare-earth permanent magnets, together with the enhanced winding of the servo motor, helps to generate high levels of torque to meet the demanding needs of high-performance industrial motion control systems. The MPL-B660F-MJ74AA servo motor is an upgraded version of the earlier MPL-B660F-MJ24AA servo motor and it comes with the new SpeedTEC DIN connectors.
The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation MPL-B660F-MJ74AA MPL series servo motor has a maximum rated rotor speed of 3000 RPM. This servo motor is part of the 400 Volts voltage class and it is equipped with a multi-turn, high-resolution encoder. The multi-turn encoder on the MPL-B660F-MJ74AA servo motor provides high-resolution absolute position feedback to the servo drive in the system. The encoder cable feeds the servo drive with feedback signals about the motor’s position, acceleration. The MPL-B660F-MJ74AA servo motor comes with 2 right-angle SpeedTEC DIN connectors, a feedback connector, and a power/brake connector. For easy connector and cable orientation, the connectors can be turned 180 degrees in either direction. This servo motor includes a built-in DC holding brake with a holding torque rating of 70 N-m, which is designed to keep the shaft at zero revolutions per minute. In addition, an optional shaft key is provided with this servo motor, but a shaft seal kit must be ordered separately if it is needed.
