The MPL-B680D-SJ22AA servo motor is an MPL series low-inertia servo motor manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It has a speed rating of 2000 revolutions per minute and 9.3 kilowatts of output power. Its other specifications are 460 Volts AC 3-phase input voltage, 34 Amps of continuous stall current, 62.8 N-m of continuous stall torque, 0.00775 kg-m2 of rotor inertia, an 8-inch magnetic stack length, and a 215-millimeter frame diameter. The MPL-B680D-SJ22AA servo motor is designed to meet the demanding requirements of high-performance motion systems. Its innovative winding technology provides excellent torque and its rare-earth magnets give it the ability to accelerate faster than standard motors. The feedback device available on the MPL-B680D-SJ22AA low-inertia servo motor is a single-turn high-resolution encoder. The compact design of this motor allows for fast installation and it supports various mounting orientations.

The MPL-B680D-SJ22AA servo motor supports the use of couplings and pulley mechanisms when connecting the servo motor to the machine system. Due to the highly dynamic performance of this servo motor, the manufacturer recommends the use of torsionally rigid couplings or a reinforced timing belt to prevent the couplings, pulleys, or belts from coming off during operation. The MPL-B680D-SJ22AA servo motor does not feature a braking device. When used in environments where stray signals are present, electromagnetic interference may affect the performance of the MPL-B680D-SJ22AA servo motor. This can be avoided by using isolation transformers or line filters in the line wiring of the motor's controller. Separating the power cables from the signal cables can also avoid these problems. Note that the operating temperature range of this motor is from 0 to 40 degrees Celsius.
