The Allen-Bradley MPL-B860D-MJ22AA servo motor is an MPL low-inertia series type of servo motor that features a rated motor speed of 2000 revolutions per minute. The MPL-B860D-MJ22AA servo motor comes with the multi-turn high-resolution encoder with the circular bayonet facing the shaft. The unit comes with an innovative small size with a frame that measures only 265 millimeters while the magnetic stack length is 6 inches. The premium permanent low inertia servo motor is vulnerable to the electromagnetic interference that is commonly referred to as EMI noise. The EMI noise causes malfunctioning in the MPL-B860D-MJ22AA servo motor and it is important that the unit be guarded against EMI interference. The manufacturer should ensure to follow the correct cable routing plan to improve the servo motor’s ability to achieve a high level of EMC or electromagnetic compatibility.
While building or installing the MPL-B860D-MJ22AA servo motor’s cables, ensure that the wire lengths are kept as short as possible. The EMI sensitive wires should be kept away from the input power source as well as the motor power wiring. For safety purposes, be aware that the MPL series servo motors produce leakage current in the protective earthing conductor. After the installation of the MPL-B860D-MJ22AA servo motor, ensure that the motor is properly mounted and the mechanical couplings are connected. If there are loose shaft keys or disconnected cables, this can be dangerous when the MPL-B860D-MJ22AA servo motor is connected to the power supply. The MPL-B860D-MJ22AA servo motor should be stored and used in a noncorrosive environment. The relative humidity range is 5 to 95%, non-condensing while the unit features a recommended storage temperature range -30 to 70 degrees Celsius. The ambient operating temperature range is rated at 0 to 40 degrees Celsius.
