The Allen-Bradley 1481-N60 selector switch is part of a selector switch kit for contactor and starter units from the Bulletin 1481 product line. These contactor and starter units are designed and developed by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation and they are available in many variants in order to meet different application requirements. The 1481-N60 selector switch variant is a three-position selector switch and it a spare part that is available from the accessories list of the 1481 product series. These NEMA rated contactor and starter units are available in sizes from 00 to 9 and they provide a mechanical life of up to 10 million operations. The 1481-N60 selector switch is cover-mounted and it includes all the necessary parts for the HAND-OFF-AUTO functionality of the contactor or starter.

The Allen-Bradley 1481-N60 selector switch is compatible with both the combination and non-combination variants of the 1481 contactor and starter unit. The 1481-N60 selector switch has an “unilock” capability and it is intended for NEMA sizes from 3 to 5 and NEMA types from 7 to 9. The typical ambient temperature which is allowed is within the -25 to 65 degrees Celsius (-13 to 149 degrees Fahrenheit) range. The selector switch kit is part of Series A and it includes the following parts: a base flange, a ¼ to 20 bolt and lock washer, an operator lever, a lock washer, a selector switch assembly, a 9/64” hex socket head screw, a guard, bushing, an operator shaft, a shaft retaining ring, and a bushing retaining ring. The 1481-N60 selector switch is used with contactor and starter units which have a line voltage of 115 to 575 Volts and a continuous current rating of 90 to 270 Amps. The featured contactor and starter units have a mechanical life of 5 million operations.
