The 40185-802-01 kit is an overload relay kit for size 4 Allen-Bradley starter devices. It has been manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It is compatible with the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 509 line of the NEMA starters. The relay kit is manufactured out of an eutectic alloy material. The relay kit comprises coils and contactors. It also comes with mounting plates and overload devices. The 40185-802-01 overload relay kit has a nylon space insulator that is used alongside the nylon standoff device. A current transformer is present on the lower side of the relay. The starter devices are used for the full voltage starting of the polyphase squirrel cage motors. These starters meet the NEMA standards and they are easy to use.

The overload relay kit is a 3-pole unit with an open enclosure. The relay unit is used with motors with a voltage rating of 120 to 600 Volts AC. It has a 7200 Volts-Amps rating and it has a brake rating of 720 Volts-Amps. The ambient temperature should not exceed 70 degrees Celsius.
