The VPL-A1002C-CJ12AS is one of the more recent additions in Allen-Bradley’s popular Powerflex 520 series. The VPL-A1002C-CJ12AS has a space-efficient design which helps to economize space when installing the power drive. Coming with a keyed shaft extension, the VPL-A1002C-CJ12AS is a VPL low-inertia motor drive. For supporting easier input, control, and modification, the VPL-A1002C-CJ12AS comes with an 18-bit single-turn digital high-resolution encoder. The compact high-end servo motors make the VPL-A1002C-CJ12AS perfect for high-performance motion systems. The VPL-A1002C-CJ12AS also benefits from having more torque ratings than the previous Powerflex 520 series motor drives, which give it a significant performance boost compared to previous models. The VPL-A1002C-CJ12AS has no holding brakes and it comes with 2 magnetic stacks.

The supply voltage requirement of the VPL-A1002C-CJ12AS is 240 Volts AC while the rated speed of the device with a C Winding is 2500 RPM. The operational temperature for the VPL-A1002C-CJ12AS ranges between -20 and 70 degrees Celsius. The default factory option for the device is an IP88 shaft seal fitted enclosure. The only restriction that comes with the VPL-A1002C-CJ12AS is that it can be only used with networked devices and machines.
