The Powerflex 520 Series VPL-A1003F-PJ14AA motor is one of the best innovative additions in the Allen-Bradley Powerflex motor product line. The VPL-A1003F-PJ14AA is a highly capable 1-phase VPL low-inertia motor drive that mixes and matches a wide range of functions and features not included in previous models. All VPL-A1003F-PJ14AA drives come with a standard compact brushless motor which can be used across all of the available power range capabilities of the device. The VPL-A1003F-PJ14AA features a SpeedTec right-angle DIN connector that has up to 325 degrees of rotation capability. The VPL-A1003F-PJ14AA also supports a wide range of motion functions including closed loop velocity vector control and sensorless vector control.

The VPL-A1003F-PJ14AA has an input voltage rating of 240 Volts AC which is fixed. The drive has a power rating of 4500 RPM with the F Winding setup. This motor drive also comes with a 24 Volts DC holding brake that is absent in previous models of the motor. The VPL-A1003F-PJ14AA has an 18-bit single-turn and a 12-bit multi-turn digital high-resolution encoder that comes with 3 magnetic stacks as well. The ideal storage temperature for the VPL-A1003F-PJ14AA ranges between -20 and 70 degrees Celsius. The VPL-A1003F-PJ14AA has an IEC metric mounting flange type of mounting method which requires a NEMA-approved open-type IP28 enclosure that comes pre-installed or that can be swapped for a different enclosure model. The 100-millimeter bolt circle frame size allows the motor load to stop in the same position without needing any support from the encoder feedback.
