The VPL-B1002M-PK12AA servo motor is an industrial low-inertia servo motor that is designed and produced by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. The motor is introduced through the Allen-Bradley Kinetix VP series that is usually combined with Allen-Bradley Kinetix 5500 and 5700 series servo motors. The motor is used in different industries and it is built for demanding applications. The supported temperatures for operation range from 0 to 40 degrees Celsius (32 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit) and the motor should be kept in a noncorrosive atmosphere. The motors from this series have protection ratings from IP 50 to IP 66, depending on the position of the shaft and the optional shaft seal that provides the highest level of protection. The VPL-B1002M-PK12AA low-inertia servo motor comes with a 100-millimeter frame and it has an approximate weight of 3.56 kilograms (7.85 pounds).  The rated speed of this servo motor is 6000 RPM and its designated input voltage rating is 460 Volts AC.

One of the main features of the VPL-B1002M-PK12AA servo motor is a feedback functionality that is achieved through an 18-bit absolute multi-turn digital encoder. The feedback encoder uses the Hiperface DSL protocol, a default protocol that is used across the Kinetix VP motor series.
