VPL-B1003C-CK14AA

|

The VPL-B1003C-CK14AA brushless servo motor is an Allen-Bradley VPL series servo motor. It is part of the 400 Volts voltage class within the Allen-Bradley VPL series and its rated shaft speed is 2500 RPM. The VPL-B1003C-CK14AA brushless servo motor comes with permanent magnets that reduce its inertia levels and it has a 24 Volts DC holding brake that can hold its shaft at 0 RPM but that cannot be used to stop the shaft while it is spinning. The shaft of this drive is smooth and it can be strongly protected from water and dust if an optional shaft seal is installed on it. The VPL-B1003C-CK14AA brushless servo motor is compatible with Allen-Bradley Kinetix 5500 and Kinetix 5700 series servo drives.

The Allen-Bradley VPL-B1003C-CK14AA is an advanced low-inertia motor that is rated at 2500 RPM, 480 Volts AC, a continuous and peak stall torque of 4.18 N-m and 11.15 N-m, respectively, and 1.29 Horsepower (0.96 kW) of output power. The Allen-Bradley VPL-B1003C-CK14AA is part of the Allen-Bradley VP low-inertia motor series which can be used with drives from the Kinetix 5500 series and dual-axis inverters from the Kinetix 5700 series. The Kinetix VP low-inertia motors offer optimized sizing, leading to increased energy efficiency and lower costs. Other features include a shaft-end threaded hole, single and multi-turn feedback encoders, and 400 Volts or  200 Volts rated windings. The motors support up to 8000 RPM of rotating speed and 0.19 to 7.16 kW of output power.

The VPL-B1003C-CK14AA comes with a keyless shaft and a 24 Volts DC holding brake. It connects to the drive via a 325 degrees rotatable SpeedTec Right Angle DIN Connector. An 18-bit single-turn digital high-resolution encoder is provided for accurate feedback. The maximum magnet stack length is 3 and the frame size is 100 millimeters. The motor should be inspected for damage and defects prior to installation. The following are some manufacturer recommendations to protect the VPL-B1003C-CK14AA from electrical noise: shielded cables should be used when possible, the motor cables should not be routed over the vent openings on the servo drives, power transformers should be isolated or line filters should be used on all AC input power lines, and all equipment should be grounded by the use of a single point parallel ground system that utilizes ground bus-bars or large straps.
