This motor is a Brushless AC Synchronous Servo Motors which is compatible with Kinetix 5700 and Kinetix 5100 serco drives. This servo motor is a 400V class motor with 115 mm bolt circle diameter (BDC), 3-inch Magnet stack length, rated speed of 4500 RPM. It has a built-in 18-bit absolute multi-turn digital encoder (Hiperface DSL protocol) used for position feedback. The Allen-Bradley VPL-B1153F-PJ12AA is a low-inertia servo motor from the VPL servo drive product family. This servo drive is especially designed for used with the Kinetix 5500 servo drives and Kinetix 5700 dual axis inverter. This servo motor is made of brushless AC synchronous servo motors and composed of rotor poles made with rare-earth magnets for faster acceleration and high Torque to size ration. Additionally, this servo motor supports Hiperface DSL encoder protocol for faster transmission of motor position to the servo drive.

This motor uses a SpeedTec DIN connector which rotates up to 325° for connection flexibility. It has a minimum of IP55 protection rating which varies depending on the orientation of the motor shaft however, when installed with an appropriate shaft seal, the servo motor’s protection rating meets IP66 which prevents entry of industrial contaminants and direct contact to process materials, preventing damage and maximizing the operation lifespan of the motor. Appropriate shaft seal for use with servo motor is MPL-SSN-A4B4 . Shaft seals must be serviced every 3 months minimum, but not exceeding 12 months. This motor carries certifications and UL Recognized components to applicable UL and CSA standards. CE marked for all applicable directive.
