The 1440-TTC06-00RE Isolated Thermocouple Temperature module is part of the XM series by Allen-Bradley. This module is part of the DIN rail mounted condition protection and monitoring modules series which operate in single applications or which can be integrated with control system networks and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers). The 1440-TTC06-00RE module is an intelligent 6-channel temperature monitor. It provides 250 Volts DC of channel-to-channel isolation, and it is specifically designed to monitor the temperature with thermocouple inputs. In applications where it is not possible to integrate XM data directly through the DeviceNet network, the 1440-TTC06-00RE module provides a separate 4 to 20 mA output current for every channel. For the applications that require relays, on the other hand, the 1440-TTC06-00RE module can support the connection of up to 2 XM-441 Expansion Relay Modules, thus providing a total number of 8 relays.

The 1440-TTC06-00RE module can collect data on different events, like during a relay auction. In addition, the 1440-TTC06-00RE module can be configured remotely through a DeviceNet network, or locally via a Laptop or PC. The module can be used in industrial environments (with a pollution degree 2 rating), overvoltage category II applications, and also at altitudes not exceeding 2,000 meters without de-rating. When it comes to wiring, stranded or solid wire can be used and 14 to 22 AWG copper conductors without pre-treatment must be used. In addition to that, 8-AWG wire is required for grounding the DIN rail for EMI purposes. The recommended strip length is 8 millimeters (0.31 inches), and the minimum insulation rating is 300 Volts. The conductor should not be soldered.
