The Y-3023-2-H04AA is a brushless servo motor from the Y series that was manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This servo motor provides the user with the ability to perform precise positioning and control of accelerations and speeds on various industrial automation applications. It is built in the largest frame size in the Y series, with 230 Volt AC windings. Optical encoder line count (2000 P/R resolution) and 24 Volt DC break options are included. The Y-3023-2-H04AA applies the best features from integrated high energy magnets and achieves low inertias for fast accelerations. This Y series model has a 4500 RPM speed rating; its enclosure is IP43 rated and it has 8 poles. The spring-set type brakes are integrated, which hold the motor at standstill, and are released when a 24 Volt DC voltage is applied to their coils. The optical encoder requires 5 Volts of DC voltage supply. For this servo motor control purpose, a servo drive is necessary to complete the system.  Allen-Bradley recommends that this servo motor is paired with one of following servo drives: 2094-AM02, 2098-DSD-020, 1398-DDM-019, 1398-DDM-020, or 2093-AM02.
