The Allen-Bradley 140G-G2C3-C25 molded case circuit breaker is a high-performance thermal-magnetic circuit breaker built to provide thermal and short-circuit protection to a wide range of conductors and equipment. The 140G circuit breakers feature high-speed blow open action that is made of quick make-break action contacts that reduce arcing and thus protect the contact surface. The 140G-G2C3-C25 circuit breaker is rated at 125 Amps at 600 Volts AC, and it can be used for branch circuits or main circuits with a 600 Volts AC (UL) operating voltage. It has 25 kiloamps (KA) of maximum breaking capacity, and a rated impulse voltage withstand of 8000 Volts AC (8 KV). The 140G-G2C3-C25 circuit breaker has a fixed thermal trip rating of 20 Amps and a magnetic trip rating of up to 500 Amps. It has 120 operations per hour of electrical life and 240 operations per hour of mechanical life.
The 140G-G2C3-C25 circuit breaker has a non-adjustable thermal-magnetic trip unit that offers both thermal and magnetic trip actions by using bimetallic strips and electromagnet coils connected in series with the line current. The 140G-G2C3-C25 circuit breaker has an 80% efficient continuous load rating at 40 degrees Celsius. It has a trip-free mechanical operating mechanism made of a rotary switch that helps keep the contact open in the event of a short-circuit fault. This rotary switch also helps to indicate the breaker position as ON, TRIPPED, or OFF. Â The 140G-G2C3-C25 circuit breaker has a non-de-rating ambient temperature limit of 40 degrees Celsius and it supports DIN rail installation. It is CE, CCC, CSA, and UL Certified, and it has an average package weight of 2.4 pounds.
