The Allen-Bradley 140G-G2C3-C30 thermal-magnetic circuit breaker is a Frame G circuit breaker from the 140G family of high-performance industrial circuit breakers designed to provide overcurrent protection and thermal protection for conductors and connected equipment. In addition to providing circuit protection, the Frame G circuit breakers can also serve as the main disconnecting means for control panels, and they can also be used for motor control circuit transformers. The 140G-G2C3-C30 circuit breaker consists of a rotary switch, a fixed thermal/magnetic trip unit, a fast-acting contact, and an arc chamber. It is rated 80% efficient at 40 degrees Celsius, and its compact design and easy-to-install accessories make it ideal for most control panel applications with tight space requirements.
The 140G-G2C3-C30 circuit breaker has 125 Amps of continuous current rating and it can be used in circuits with a 600 Volts AC (UL/CSA) voltage rating. It has a maximum interrupting rating of 25 kiloamps at 480 Volts AC and a rated insulation voltage of 800 Volts AC. The 140G-G2C3-C30 circuit breaker has a maximum withstand voltage rating of 8 kilovolts AC and a mechanical lifespan of up to 25,000 operations. The 140G-G2C3-C30 circuit breaker has 3-pole wiring with end cap standard line and load-side terminals, and it offers multiple terminal lugs options for applications requiring multiple wiring termination on either the load or line terminals. The 140G-G2C3-C30 circuit breaker has a thermal-magnetic trip unit with fixed trip ratings. This trip unit offers quick/instantaneous trip actions by using electromagnets in series with the line and load and a bimetallic element that deflect when the circuit current exceeds the recommended rating. Â The 140G-G2C3-C30 circuit breaker has a maximum operating temperature limit of 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) without de-rating. It has net shipping dimensions of 3 x 2.7 x 5 inches, and an average weight of 2.4 pounds.
