The Allen-Bradley 140G-G2C3-C50 molded case circuit breaker is a 3-pole circuit breaker with a non-adjustable thermal-magnetic trip unit for protection designed to provide thermal overcurrent and current overload protection for control panel applications. The 140G circuit breakers are sized according to table 430-152 of the National Electronic Commission code, and the Frame G breakers are suitable for reverse feed use. The 140G-G2C3-C50 circuit breaker is ideal for a 600 Volts AC (UL/CSA) circuit, and it has a current rating of 125 Amps. It has 25 kiloamps of maximum interrupting rating and an insulation voltage of 800 Volts AC. The 140G-G2C3-C50 circuit breaker has a thermal trip rating of 50 Amps with a 500 Amps magnetic trip rating, and it has a mechanical lifespan of around 25,000 operations.
The 140G-G2C3-C50 circuit breaker has a thermal-magnetic trip unit with fixed trip ratings. This trip unit provides instantaneous trip actions via a load-heated bimetallic element and an electromagnetic coil. The magnetic field produced by the coil is directly proportional to the amount of current in the coil, and the breaker is tripped instantaneously when the amount of current in the coil exceeds the set value, causing a trip action. The 140G-G2C3-C50 circuit breaker has a switch that opens and closes the contacts and also indicates if the circuit breaker is tripped. It comes with bolt-on line and load side terminals as standard features, and it also comes with a 1-meter pig-tail wiring terminal for the internal accessories. The 140G-G2C3-C50 circuit breaker has an ambient temperature limit of 40 degrees Celsius, and it can be stored at a temperature between -40 and 80 degrees Celsius. It has approximate mounting dimensions of 76.2 x 70 x 130 millimeters, and it weighs approximately 1.1 kilograms.
