The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 140G-G2C3-D12 circuit breaker is a circuit breaker that protects circuits from an excessive current load. Generally, conduits require protection equipment in order to stop any short-circuit current before it can cause damage. This circuit breaker comes with 2 different detection mechanisms that complement each other. These mechanisms use heat to activate 2 bimetal bars and a magnet that detects a short-circuit current. Once the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 140G-G2C3-D12 circuit breaker detects any kind of abnormal current, it performs an interrupting action to stop it from entering the conduits. The 3 poles of the breaker interrupt the current flow. Once the condition that made the breaker react is cleared, the breaker can be turned on again and continue its regular operations.
The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 140G-G2C3-D12 circuit breaker features an interrupting capacity of 25 kA and a current rating of 120 Amps. It is important to mention that the breaker must not be exposed to temperatures higher or lower than 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. Higher temperatures might affect the heat detection mechanisms employed by the circuit breaker. This breaker can be mounted in any position without altering its functions. The cables that are used must be designed for operations at temperatures of at least 75 degrees Celsius. The circuit breaker can operate in hot and humid conditions and it can also resist shocks and vibrations. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 140G-G2C3-D12 circuit breaker has internal and external accessories that make its installation process and its performance easy. These accessories are a flanged cable, motor operator, residual current, alarm, and an auxiliary contact, among others.
