The 140G-G3C3-C90 circuit breaker is a molded case circuit breaker designed to provide protection to conduits and avoid further damage by an excessive or irregular current. This breaker has been designed, made, and distributed by Allen-Bradley. Circuit breakers are circuits composed of a detection mechanism and poles that perform an interrupting action that will impede the excessive or irregular current that would otherwise flow into the circuit. Circuit breakers are modern devices that replace old fuses in modern applications. The Allen-Bradley 140G-G3C3-C90 molded case circuit breaker responds quicker than fuses. To do this, the breaker employs 2 different detection mechanisms to determine whether the current level is appropriate or not. These mechanisms are thermal and magnetic, both of them are designed to detect a different kind of current. The breaker includes 3 poles to perform the detection mechanism. This makes the breaker more reliable and sensitive.
Unlike fuses that only operate once and need to be replaced, the Allen-Bradley 140G-G3C3-C90 molded case circuit breaker can be reset once a fault condition has been detected and cleared. This breaker is a multiple operations device and it can be turned on and off through a switch. Breakers have a longer lifespan and there is no need for periodic replacements. The Allen-Bradley 140G-G3C3-C90 molded case circuit breaker comes with an interrupting capacity of 65 Amps and a current range of 90 Amps. It can be used as a conduit breaker or as a control panel switch. The room temperature should not exceed the 0 to 40 degrees Celsius range in order for the breaker to have a great performance.
