The Allen-Bradley molded case circuit breaker 140G-G6C3-C45 circuit breaker is fully assembled in the factory to include fixed thermal and fixed magnetic protection. It is installed in industrial electrical circuits for main and branch circuit protection. The 140G-G6C3-C45 circuit breaker can work with 690 Volts AC or 500 Volts DC voltages with a maximum interrupting rating of 65 kA at 480 Volts AC, and it has a nominal current rating of 45 Amps. This circuit breaker is most commonly used in low-voltage systems in order to separate the parts of the system in which a short circuit or other types of current load occur from the rest of the system, so the system can then function without any interruptions.
From the front of the Allen-Bradley 140G-G6C3-C45 circuit breaker, the operators can easily access the lever which has 3 positions: ON, TRIP, and OFF, without the danger of coming into contact with the wiring and high voltage. This lever can be mechanically actuated about 25,000 times in the 140G-G6C3-C45 circuit breaker’s lifetime or electrically actuated with an automatic device response function about 8,000 times. When the device senses a sudden increase in the current flowing through it that is over 45 Amps, it will disconnect the input and output lines (by mechanically separating the contacts) and the lever will come to the TRIP position. For the circuit breaker to be reactivated, the operators must manually move the lever to the OFF position and then to the ON position. This operation should only be performed after the cause of the tripping has been eliminated. The device is UL and CE certified.
