The Allen-Bradley 140G-G6C3-C80 circuit breaker is a G-frame 3-pole molded case circuit breaker with a nominal current rating of 80 Amps. For optimum operation, this high-current protective device can be supplied with a maximum voltage of 500 Volts DC or 690 Volts AC. The maximum allowed continuous current is 125 Amps. This 140G series circuit breaker is validated for reverse feeding use. Â Whenever there are defects in the wiring, machine parts, or electrical cabinets, this simple yet effective device will prevent complications. The 140G-G6C3-C80 circuit breaker will respond to increased current values and disconnect the affected part of the system, thus providing protection to the users and higher-level parts of the system. The 140G-G6C3-C80 circuit breaker has accessories that can add new functions like shunt trip, undervoltage release, and auxiliary switch functions.
The Allen-Bradley 140G-G6C3-C80 circuit breaker utilizes a fixed thermal-magnetic mechanism. This 140G device measures 76 millimeters by 130 millimeters by 70 millimeters, it is DIN-rail mountable, and it is UL listed. The current interrupting capacity of the 140G-G6C3-C80 circuit breaker is 65 kA at 480 Volts AC. This value always decreases as the voltage increases. The 140G-G6C3-C80 circuit breaker is tested to survive more than 25,000 mechanical activations and more than 8,000 electrical activations. Contacts inside the device are made of extremely conductive silver and copper alloys which can carry the load current without excessive heating, and which can handle severe arcs that are generated during the opening (breaking) of the circuit. The whole circuit breaker is factory calibrated and sealed, so there are no spare parts for this unit. The device can be remotely controlled after the installation of a motorized actuator that is ordered separately.
