The Allen-Bradley 140G-G6C3-D10 circuit breaker is a molded case circuit breaker with a wide variety of applications in buildings and homes, as well as in industrial plants. Its interrupting capacity is 65 kA at 480 Volts AC, and it can work with voltages of up to 690 Volts AC or 500 Volts DC. The current at which this device disconnects the input and output contacts (the trip state) is 100 Amps, and the maximum continuous current that can flow through the device is 125 Amps. When tripped, the unit must be manually reset by pulling the lever on the front side to OFF state and then to ON state. The device can be integrated into industrial automation monitoring systems with an auxiliary contacts accessory that provides a digital display (ON/OFF) of the status of the device. An alarm contact can be integrated into the circuit breaker to indicate the trip status of the circuit breaker.
The Allen-Bradley 140G-G6C3-D10 circuit breaker can be found in the trip state after it detects a short-circuit, after overcurrent detection, or when the users manually press the test button on the molded case circuit breaker. The 140G-G6C3-D10 circuit breaker is calibrated to respond to currents greater than 100 Amps at 40 degrees Celsius. This current value is reduced if the device operates at higher temperatures than this one. Also, this type of circuit breaker must be derated for voltage and for its interrupting rating at altitudes above 2000 meters. The dimensions of the device are 76 millimeters by 130 millimeters by 70 millimeters. The 140G-G6C3-D10 circuit breaker is manufactured by Allen-Bradley which guarantees the operability and functionality of the circuit breaker with worldwide technical support.
