The 140G-G6C3-D12 fixed thermal-magnetic circuit breaker is a molded case circuit breaker that belongs to the Allen-Bradley 140G molded case circuit breaker series and that is designed to provide full short-circuit and thermal current overload protection to a wide range of control panel applications. This device belongs to the G Frame circuit breaker family which is rated for HACR and reverse feed use, and they come in a very compact package with field-installable accessories that help simplify the configuration process and reduced maintenance costs. The 140G-G6C3-D12 circuit breaker has a continuous current rating of 125 Amps and it is, therefore, suitable for main disconnect/feeder circuits or branch circuits with sized ratings of less than or equal to 125 Amps. It can be used for circuits with ratings of up to 600 Volts AC (per the UL standards).

The 140G-G6C3-D12 circuit breaker has a fixed thermal trip rating of 120 Amps and a fixed magnetic trip rating of 1250 Amps. It has a rated insulation voltage of 800 Volts, with an 8000 Volts maximum impulse withstand rating and a mechanical lifespan of up to 24,000 operations. The 140G-G6C3-D12 circuit breaker’s protection unit (trip unit) consists of a fixed heater element connected to a lever device that provides thermal trip actions in prolonged large current conditions, and an electromagnet connected in a series with a line current that provides an instantaneous trip action when the load exceeds the designated value. The 140G-G6C3-D12 circuit breaker is a 3-pole circuit breaker with standard bolt-on terminals (load and line terminals), and a standard pig-tail wiring terminal for the termination of optional internal accessories. The 140G-G6C3-D12 circuit breaker has flexible mounting configuration and it is 80% rated at a 40 degrees Celsius maximum ambient temperature.
