The 140G-H2C3-C60 circuit breaker is a Series 140G molded case circuit breaker manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It is equipped with a thermal-magnetic trip unit rated 60 Amps for the thermal trip and at 600 Amps for the magnetic trip. This breaker has 3 poles and its voltage rating is 690 Volts AC. The breaking capacity is 10 kA at 690 Volts AC, 36 kA at 440 Volts AC, and 65 kA at 220 to 240 Volts AC and at 250 to 500 Volts DC. The current rating is 50 Amps and it features an H Frame. In addition to providing overcurrent and short-circuit protection for industrial equipment and conductors, the 140G-H2C3-C60 molded case circuit breaker can also be used as the main disconnecting device for a control panel.
The Allen-Bradley 140G-H2C3-C60 circuit breaker’s contacts automatically open during fault conditions and the circuit breaker must be manually reset before resuming operation unless an accessory with an auto-reset capability such as a motor operator device is installed on the circuit breaker.  An arc chamber that surrounds the switching contacts is integral to the design of this unit and it is used to quickly extinguish and cool the contacts after the circuit is opened. The reverse loop design of the 140G-H2C3-C60 circuit breaker offers a faster interruption time than other designs have. It can serve as a main or branch circuit protection device and it has a compact design to optimize panel space. This circuit breaker can operate with a 100% continuous load. Its ambient operating temperature range is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius, and its glass fiber casing and corrosion-resistant terminals allow for its use in different industrial environments.
