The Allen-Bradley 140G-H6C3-C50 circuit breaker is a 50 Amps rated 3-pole circuit breaker. The breaker should be used in environments where the ambient temperature reaches a maximum value of 40 degrees Celsius. For storage, the recommended temperature is between -40 and 80 degrees Celsius. The weight and dimensions of the H Frame circuit breaker are 2.65 pounds and 130 x 90 x 82 millimeters, respectively. The 140G-H6C3-C50 circuit breaker is part of the 140G family of molded case circuit breakers (MCCBs) which offer a wide range of features, including electronic and thermal/magnetic protection devices, very high breaking/interrupting capacities, and a complete line of field and factory-installed accessories. The 140G MCCBs are ideally suited for the in-line protection of control panels.

The fixed thermal/magnetic trip unit on the 140G-H6C3-C50 circuit breaker is set for a 500 Amps magnetic trip threshold and a 50 Amps thermal trip threshold. The rated current for the device is 50 Amps. The impulse withstand voltage rating and the insulation voltage rating for the device are 8 kilovolts and 1 kilovolt, respectively. The rated breaking capacity according to the relevant IEC standards is 70 kiloamps at 250 or 500 Volts DC. The rated breaking capacity is 100, 70, 65, and 15 kiloamps at 220, 415, 440, and 690 Volts AC, respectively. Only copper wire with a 75 degrees Celsius temperature rating should be used with the 140G-H6C3-C50 circuit breaker. For grounding of the breaker, either 14 AWG copper wire or 1-inch copper braid should be used.
